Meet Dr. Afifa Anwar
Afifa Anwar, D.D.S., is passionate about providing compassionate, personalized dental care while helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from The University of Texas at Austin before earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry.
Passion for Patient Care
Dr. Anwar was naturally drawn to dentistry through her love of art and passion for science. What she enjoys most about dentistry is getting to know her patients beyond their smiles. She values hearing their stories, building lasting relationships, and creating an environment where every patient feels comfortable, heard, and genuinely cared for.
Her approach to patient care is centered on compassion, honesty, and listening. Dr. Anwar takes the time to understand each patient’s concerns and goals, meet them where they are in their dental journey, and provide individualized care they can feel confident about. She enjoys treating a wide variety of general dentistry cases, with a special interest in restorative and esthetic dentistry.
Dr. Anwar is an active member of the American Dental Association and Texas Dental Association and is committed to continuing education and staying current with advancements in dentistry. Her goal is to provide high-quality care while helping patients achieve healthy, natural-looking smiles in a comfortable and welcoming environment.
Outside the Office
Outside of the office, Dr. Anwar enjoys reading, traveling, DIY crafts, and training for a half-marathon. She also enjoys spending time with her playful, high-energy kitten, Mocha!
